Unobtrusive SWFObject 2.0
Tuesday, March 25, 2008
SWFObject Javascript is a script used to insert Flash content in Web pages. Its main function is to eliminate the demand for activation of the control of Microsoft Internet Explorer (which, in any event, is being discontinued operations - see here) and, more interestingly, the ability to verify and install the Flash Player where required. SWFObject can be considered a good alternative to install kit / detect provided by Adobe itself and generate inside of your Flash (in all its versions). With version 2.0, improves SWFObject its performance and its use. As indicated on the official documentation, moved on Google Code, the news release of this are so numerous that it is NOT compatible with previous versions. This translates into a de facto complete revision of the Code for those who decide to upgrade a previous version SWFObject to 2.0.
The script is now aligned to the latest standard, both syntactic and from the "non-intrusive." It supports all previous features, such as the rapid installation of Flash Player, with a code more clear and easy to use. The passage of the parameters, for example, from JavaScript to Flash Player (and therefore to our movie) is now much clearer and more versatile. Also introduced were two main modes: static and dynamic, according to the page type and design process that we are doing.
Really useful and bon fact is the online tool that generates code SWFObject for us.
