Thefts, copies and clones on the Web: I have cloned the site

Update January 26, 2009

On January 26, 2009, I was contacted by the head of Human Pixelfabrica that very honestly and with rare sincerity explained to me why the incorrect "cloning" of the site, what happened, apologizing and giving immmediatamente beginning of the review "correct" Site Pixelfabrica . As I had already pointed out in the post, find inspiration in other works Web is not a crime, indeed. In some cases it may even be rewarding. What struck me most was the behavior of Google Analytics, which was absolutely not aware of the "double" user code present simultaneously on two different Web (for both IP and Referer).

Anyway thank Pixelfabrica for rectification and honest admission, and I swear that this is not an operation of Viral Marketing : D

Original post

Today I was browsing through the reports generated by Google Analytics when viewing certain pages of my site e-lementi.com I notice a number of "strange" link:

Who the hell is PixelFabrica? How the hell is that link on the statistics? I have a virus?! So I try on Google and I'm going to happen on:

Incredible! I have copied the "old" (see also: Case Study ) Layout ...! Not only have they copied the layout in graphical way ... after all it is only normal inspiration from works of others. But they have just copied the code! From HTML to CSS. Among other things, they were not even aware, in fact passing the mouse over the title "digitalcodices.org" of the three news shows "born undolog.com"!

They also did not understand even the operation "thin" of CSS. Clicking on the navigation menu selection is always displayed on the Home page, which is not happening with my layout: PixelFabrica dear, if you want advice I can contact ! In short, if you really want to "copy" at least do it well!

Some will say that all this reporting'm doing the "pure" a favor ... a beautiful operation of Viral Marketing ... however this is the first time I've been "cloned" in this shameless way, and I get the feeling that I have yet to decipher! :) Here's how it appeared in fact e-lementi.com before the restyling of 2008:
