It is possible to install the beta of Dreamweaver parallel to the existing one, but you can only run one instance of the application (or beta CS4 or CS3, for example). Adobe recommends that you perform a backup, however, all settings, emphasizing that being a beta does not guarantee anything about any problems.
Among the most interesting, aside from the completely redesigned interface, available in the Dreamweaver beta, we find:
- Live View: with the introduction of the open source WebKit engine (the same one used by Safari and Adobe AIR) is now possible to work with code and preview simultaneously, with a yield WYSIWYG never seen before
- Code hinting support (auto-completion / synopsis) for some of the Ajax frameworks: jQuery, Prototype, and Spry (pity it was not also included Mootools)
- Integration with Subversion! And it was time!
- Support (Native) Adobe AIR - so you just additional extensions
On Adobe TV ( http://tv.adobe.com ) you can follow the demonstrations of these beta!
Approaches, therefore, time to upgrade the whole suite ...
