Web Analytics

More about Web analytics The analysis of the accesses a Web site is a topic vast and interesting. The majority of the time the analysis is carried out by tools such as Google Analitycs , Woopra , Reinvigorate , etc ... however, for the more technically savvy, you may be planning to build their own personal analysis tool, or simply to look at the "mysterious" log file of our Web Server. Council, then, reading Web Analytics of David Vasta, text useful to understand in detail all the processes that lie behind the tracking of access.

The guide is really complete as it analyzes every aspect that revolves around the topic of Web Analitycs. Also useful advice addressed to the coder, those who develop Web pages, on how to use "properly" tag and attribute. • The analysis tools
  • Preliminary analysis: visits, bounce rate, page views, navigation paths, an output link
  • Historical analysis, seasonal and geographical
  • Analysis of keywords and relevant pages
  • Analysis by referrer and KPI
  • Conversion Analysis
  • Real-time analysis
  • Serach engine marketing (SEM) and Web Analytics
  • Analysis Tools for logs
  • Increase the visibility of a website
  • Legal Aspects of Web Analytics

One of the most appreciated features of this environment is the excellent management of the FTP and file synchronization / local projects with the remote. In particular, there is a script that allows you to send the code currently in the editor window to the server remotely using the key combination CONTROL + SHIFT + U or COMMAND + SHIFT + U on Mac OS (the same combination is used in Adobe Dreamweaver). In some installations (eg on my Mac OS, Eclipse and Aptana Plugin com) this combination seems to be absent, and if you try to track her down in the Preferences> General> Keys will not find - mysteriously - nothing! The problem, however, is easily solved, and depends on the overlap of another setting. It is apparent that the combination of the keys mentioned above is set by default to another function: Shows Occurrences in File Quick Menu. So just open the panel of the Preferences> General> Keys and search shows occ ..:

Rimuivere 'bind', that is, the pairing with keyboard shortcuts, and everything will work!

Undolog: workstations between past and present

The other day I happened to have in my hands several old photographs with my first computer! So I had the idea to photograph my current location and put it in comparison with the "time" that is the past. The photographs are of course found of poor quality compared to the current, another sign of the times!
