Update: Blogbabel closed - all services, widgets and plugins are no longer active
When you must "verify" a new technology, the best thing to do is find an application to write and work hard to achieve it. In this way you learn a lot in a short time. You have to have a goal, really! I state that I have nothing to do with Blogbabel Italy. Some will think I work for them ...
Absolutely not! The reason I chose to accomplish this is due to the fact that I had the code in Flash (Actionscript 3.0 final release) and I wanted to see what was going on re-writing the application in AIR / HTML. And then, now, I am attached to this "smash" the ranking Blogbabel ![]()
To achieve this "first" AIR application after numeose tests, I only used Dreamweaver. Blogbabel Rank totalemte is written in AIR / HTML. To install the runtime download Adobe AIR and click here .
When you first start you will be asked to enter the "usual" identification code of your site / blog! The same used for the Flash version . I remember that this code can be found in the url of the page that shows your statistics directly on the site Blogbabel.
This alpha release is intended as a "gym". The application, in fact, contains some of the basic building blocks - but important - a more complex application.
Besides the use of a transparent and borderless Window, where the movement is from the same code, I also added the shadow effect and the closure by the red ball! The application, in this version, check for updates online already, simply by communicating that there is a newer. In later versions'll improve many things that now are only sketched ... for bugs or suggestions write or comment!
SOURCES
The complete source I decided not to release it officially at this time. I want to fix it and comment the code. Interesting side note, however, is that being an AIR application with HTML / Javascript when you go to install the stuff in the destination folder found - in practice - the source ... ![]()
Of this "feature" then we'll talk about in the future. In this case, we argue that our application is a real "web application" and that Air, in this case - as elsewhere - has the role of desktop-browser!

Congratulations on the speed with which you have baked the work!
