What?
N3TV Interactive Platform is the platform of interactivity N3TV.it , the brainchild of Thomas Tessarolo , "Blogger Action" argues that if Net TV is certainly not restricted to words alone, but acts concretely experiencing at first hand what means "to Net TV", offering software tools able to provide next-generation online interaction.
Platform Interactive Platform N3TV therefore has the objective to provide interactivity during the numerous proposals on live television N3TV.it .

Widgets available
In this release (we're still in a trial beta) is offered three widgets, or "tools of interaction": surveys, topics, and chat. Thanks to a control panel used by the director, you can enable or disable individual tools during the "broadcast" of a direct.

Technology
The actual transmission, or the live or delayed television, the system uses Mogulus known video production environment "on the net." How Mogulus we also chose Adobe Flash to develop interactive interface, both on the client (what you see net-viewers) that Server side / back-end interface (director). We have chosen for now the Flash MX (the 8 for instance) for compatibility. However, soon, we move on to CS3 since the browser releases Player 9 is already fairly widespread. The system is a classic client / server technology based on PHP / MySQL . For now, do not exploit any technology or Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server, communication occurs in REST (over HTTP) but in the near future there will certainly be news about it ...

Polls
The polls (Poll) allow you to respond (one vote) to a question. Each question can be voted only once. After the vote, in fact, are Visualize results of the survey.

Directed by the panel (which you do not see; presented here in preview), you can create the types of surveys, each with a series of questions and answers. From this console you can monitor in real time all that happens.

Topics
With this tool you can vote and suggest topics. The arguments are evaluated by the director that, if it considers them to be rated broadcasts.

The director is able to operate on all the topics suggested by users, add new, edit, or delete unwanted topics.
With a simple click (GoLive column) the director is able to broadcast the arguments or delete unwanted ones.
The Chat
Chat is probably the tool of interaction that has proved most successful (so much to send to the server n3tv.it in "ball" a bit 'of times 
), Probably because of the immediacy of interaction. In addition this tool, if active, can involve the entire community by creating a true and own "transmission-social". Chat discussion, in fact, is seen by everyone, including the authors of the live video. Once you choose a nickname you enter in the chat immediately with a list of users online!

Even in this case the director is able to monitor online activity, "banning" - event - unwanted users.

At the moment there are exploited, "rooms" (rooms), provided by the system but blocked by one, the General Assembly. In future releases we will try to improve this section by adding a login that allows to have more complete Avatar and Live Video Chat Server ... permitting.
Integration with Mogulus
N3TV Interactive Platform integrates with Mogulus in the case of surveys. It is possible to display an image overlaid with information about the survey. We hope to improve and expand the integration with the platform Mogulus in the near future.

What we are working
For now we are consolidating this version, with particular attention to performance, considering the large number of users connected to each direct. We have already made some changes to improve the caching system and decrease the load on the Web Server.
