BlogBabel Rank WordPress Plugin

Update: BlogBabel closed - all the services, widgets and plugins are no longer active

Under Board of P | xel I created a Plugin for WordPress dell'antipixel of BlogBabel , so it can be used in a standard way. As to P | xel came to some interesting changes in menus, step up the baton to him.

  • Download BlogBabel Rank Plugin 1.0 (blogbabelrank.zip)

Within the package there is only one zip file (blogbabelrank.php). Copy this file under the classical wp-content/plugins and activate it.
The code to insert into WordPress (in the sidebar or elsewhere) is as follows:

1

Instead of "undolog" enter your identification code retrieves statistics from your BlogBabel .

    Hello,

  2. May 23, 2007 »WP Plugins BlogBabel Ranks» WordPress Italy :

[...] BlogBabel is a site that publishes the ranking of the daily number of Italian Blogs (attention only of those who put themselves forward) and this plugin allows you to enter the antipixel with the updated position in the standings. [...]

It seems very interesting but where is the ID? Mica I know where I read it in the ranking of BlogBabel?

    @ Barbara
Reply to Barbara, but applies to all those who have asked the same question:

The identification code is located in the url of their statistics on BlogBabel, where - of course - you must be registered.
BlogBabel must go and see the page of their statistics, like this:
    http://it.blogbabel.com/metrics/blog/undolog/

In the case of undolog.com identification code is "undolog", which is the last word in the url above.
In Barbara's case depends on how you are registered with the site BlogBabel.

Doing a search it seems to me that the code is "web-to-chocolate"

    PS
In the previous post there are other versions of undolog dell'antipixel (in Flash) and more explanation on how to find the code identifier BlogBabel.

I realized I had a slightly different, with the position number typed in

    http://blogbabel.duechiacchiere.it/due-chiacchiere.gif

is not a wordpress plugin at the moment, but the idea is nice. But then I received the "stop" by the organizers of BlogBabel because overloaded servers with too many requests. Then I changed my code to keep in cache (browser) the image within 24 hours to update only the next morning. The ideal would be if he BlogBabel real API :)

PS: The link above is customizable, instead of "two-chat" put your ID number followed by. Gif :)

I forgot (maybe put it all in one comment): I made a version for BlogItalia, at the bottom of every page of my blog. The colors are customizable for both versions ... even in the eventual development of plugins that I (who wants the current source code I write, is in PHP). But waiting for the go-ahead from those of BlogBabel (BlogItalia I already told you).

Reply to Alex for days without email and leave comments without URL.
Dear Alex, if you make a request - help - and do not leave an email address how do I answer that?

  11. May 31, 2007 Alex:

Giovambattista Hello and thanks for the answer.
Using wordpress for many years and is the first time I hear say "if you make a request - help - and do not let a € ™ email address how do I answer that?".
You are the first site that developed a plugin for wordpress that does not provide any support because the user does not leave his email ... if the story around you laugh.
Keep your plugin and your users with email, I'll try to find the solution on my own.
Thanks again for the answer, at least someone deigned after 2 days of requests.
    Cordially.

    @ Alex:
Dear Alex, violence, good heavens, you're right "incazzeto" - seems like a good Banfi!

Sorry, but just because it "uses WordPress for years" does not have an email?

Anyway you're right, I could respond via "comment", but since the blog is I decide with my freedom (and not because others do so) if answer in "public" or private "person", not "crowding "the" list comment "with" issues "personal.

I say this because the problem you reported in the first "comment" (which I posted) has already been addressed in other posts and comments. I wanted you to enjoy, but I did not know how to do it without your own address.
So I finally have "forced" (a joke ;) ) To use the comments to communicate with you ...

Finally, if you do not have an email address, avoid - at least - to leave that "x@xxx.com" unnecessary and very annoying! Better a blank ;)

Greetings and everything else, I am here, P

    Thanks for the reply Giovambattista.
    Good job.

  14. July 23, 2007 Wordpress plugin: BlogBabel Rank Plus - ... time is what you make of it ... :

[...] The idea of writing it, to tell the truth, was born many months ago when he wrote Giovanbattista BlogBabel Rank and decided to pass the witness. Time is a tyrant ... and so unfortunately, I could achieve it only in the last three nights. [...]

  15. July 23, 2007 dat "Ajax, APIs BlogBabel and show some statistics on his blog (or at least groped by) :

[...] Of course, if you are interested to have the statistics in your blog I suggest you use the plugin undolog (for wordpress but easily portable to other platforms, I think). [...]

  16. March 20, 2008 Sgarro :

Look, I installed your plugin, I added the string (in a text in widgets) wp_blogbabelrank ("undolog") instead of with the name assigned to me by undolog BlogBabel, but the site only comes out the word [wp_blogbabelrank ("undolog" )] no []. or tried to put first, and the result and nothing comes out.
    Help me please! (Via email)
